The OverStitch™ Endoscopic Suturing System

The OverStitch™ Endoscopic Suturing System enables advanced endolumenal surgery by allowing physicians to place full-thickness sutures through a flexible endoscope. With the capability to customize suture patterns, OverStitch™ provides a broad range of bariatric and gastrointestinal procedures.

Large Area

OverStitch attaches proximally and distally to an Olympus Dual Channel endoscope allowing for endoluminal suturing in multiple applications. The OverStitch handle, mounted to the endoscope control handle, actuates the needle driver attached at the distal end. An anchor exchange catheter is placed in one scope channel to manage the passing of the suture, while the secondary channel can be utilized to operate the tissue helix for atraumatic tissue manipulation. Once the suturing pattern is completed, a PEEK Cinch is deployed to provide knotless fixation.

How OverStitch™ Works

OverStitch™ offers solutions for defects in both the upper and lower GI tract, including closing Fistulas, Endoscopic Submucosal Dissections (ESDs), Endoscopic Mucosal Resections (EMRs), and Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM) procedures to list a few. Additionally, physicians are leveraging endoscopic suturing for a variety of bariatric procedures including Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG), Bariatric Sleeve Revisions, Outlet and Pouch Reductions.
